qualified as a physiotherapist from Queens College Glasgow in 1986. She has gained extensive experience in the treatment of the neurologically impaired individual working around the world. Debbie spent 7 years at the Toronto Western Hospital, Neurosciences Unit, as both staff and lead physiotherapist. She also spent three years working in Brisbane, Queensland in a Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit. She spent 4 yrs as a Clinical Specialist in Neurology at St. James Hospital in Leeds, England, and then on the stroke unit in Bradford, England. Debbie currently works as the Senior Physiotherapist on the stroke unit at Hairmyers Hospital, Glasgow.
Debbie qualified as an IBITA Instructor in 2003 and has recently successfully completed her Masters in The Bobath Concept, with a special interest in the use of goal attainment scaling in neurology. She is currently module leader for the MSc Neurorehabilitation at Dundee University and is a practitioner lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University.
